1. Authorization to Perform Services
I authorize DC Detailing to perform the agreed-upon services on my vehicle.
2. Deposit & Payment Policy
A $100 deposit is required for services exceeding $100 and will be applied toward the final invoice balance.
Deposits are non-refundable if the customer cancels within 24 hours of the appointment or fails to appear.
Remaining payment is due immediately upon completion of services.
Accepted payment methods: Cash, Venmo, and Zelle.
Pricing & Payment
The customer acknowledges that pricing is determined based on an in-person inspection or photographs/videos provided prior to service. Once a quote is accepted by the customer, the quoted amount shall be the final agreed-upon price for the services described, unless additional services are requested by the customer after work has begun.
If the actual condition of the vehicle is significantly different from what was represented in the photographs, videos, or inspection provided by the customer, DC Detailing reserves the right to discuss pricing adjustments with the customer before work begins.
Payment is due immediately upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Pre-Service Inspection & Vehicle Condition Acknowledgment
Prior to the start of services, DC Detailing and the customer will conduct a walk-around inspection of the vehicle to identify and discuss visible pre-existing damage, defects, contamination, stains, odors, pet hair, paint imperfections, wheel damage, or other conditions.
Photos and/or videos may be taken before, during, and after services for documentation, quality control, and dispute resolution purposes.
DC Detailing is not responsible for pre-existing damage or defects identified during the inspection or documented through photographs and/or video.
4. Pre-Existing Damage
DC Detailing is not responsible for pre-existing scratches, dents, paint defects, stains, worn materials, wheel damage, cracked glass, or other existing defects.
5. Limitation of Liability
DC Detailing will exercise reasonable care but is not responsible for pre-existing damage, failing paint or clear coat, weak trim, loose components, previously repaired areas, or undisclosed modifications.
6. Damage Caused by DC Detailing
If DC Detailing directly causes damage to a customer's vehicle through negligence during the performance of services, DC Detailing will take reasonable steps to repair, replace, or compensate for the damage.
This does not apply to pre-existing damage, hidden defects, failing paint, weak trim, previous repairs, aftermarket modifications, or conditions that existed before service.
7. Paint Correction, Polishing & Ceramic Coating Disclosure
Paint correction and polishing are improvement services, not restoration services.
Not all scratches, chips, etching, oxidation, or defects can be safely removed.
Ceramic coatings provide protection and gloss enhancement but do not prevent scratches, rock chips, dents, or all water spotting.
8. Personal Property
The customer is responsible for removing valuables and personal belongings. DC Detailing is not responsible for items left inside the vehicle.
9. Weather & Mobile Service
For mobile services, the customer agrees to provide access to water, electricity, and a safe work area. Unsafe conditions or severe weather may require rescheduling.
10. Photo & Video Documentation Authorization
The customer authorizes DC Detailing to photograph and/or record the vehicle for documentation, quality control, dispute resolution, and marketing purposes unless otherwise requested in writing.
11. Customer Satisfaction
Upon completion of services, the customer will be given the opportunity to inspect the vehicle. Any concerns should be brought to the attention of DC Detailing before final payment is made. By submitting final payment, the customer acknowledges that the services have been completed to their satisfaction.
12. Independent Contractor & Property Liability Waiver
The customer acknowledges that DC Detailing is performing services as an independent contractor and agrees that the property owner shall not be held responsible for injuries or accidents sustained by DC Detailing while performing services on the property, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct by the property owner.
